Picnik
I guess I’m developing some antibodies against all the buzz around some so-called Web2.0 websites, but sometimes I still find something that’s really remarkable (and worth writing about).
This time the website is called Picnik and it is, simply put, an online photo editing tool. The functionalities it offers are much more you can expect from a web application:
- Rotate photos
- Crop and Resize
- Fix exposure and contrast
- Adjust sharpness
- Color saturation and temperature
- Red-eye correction
That’s definitely something that may be of interest for all the people who like to post photos directly from their (camera)phone: now they can simply modify those photos before publishing them. Not surprisingly Flickr has announced an agreement with Picnik to integrate their tools.

[sorry, I don't know the name of the author of the photo; it happened to be in my in HD, probably taken by a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend.. and cropped/modified/resized/elaborated by me with Picnik ]
