Migration successful

No, I’m not talking about blog themes, wordpress versions or software in general. The migration I’m talking about, happened a couple of weeks ago, is a migration from my Olympus e500 kit (Zuiko 14-45, Zuiko 40-150) to a Nikon D80 + Nikkor 18-200.

The Olympus was my first reflex, and I’ve been reasonably happy with it. However, a few annoying defects (namely a not-so good and slow autofocus, and a noticeable noise over 400 iso), coupled with a still limited choice of lenses (for example the Sigma 30mm, officially released last year, is still difficult to find in shops) convinced me to change camera and brand. And the availability of a good 18-200 stabilized lens was the key factor to choose Nikon.

Nikon D80

I haven’t had many opportunities to try the new camera… I just shot some pictures in Bonn last weekend. More to come! (just after my weekend in Rome for the NBA Europe Live)

Should I feel partially responsible for that? :-)
