August in Düsseldorf

While August is usually a sleepy month in Italy, here in Düsseldorf a lot of things are happening… let’s recap:

  • as you probably know, I’m still working at Vodafone. My contract expires on September 28th, and we haven’t talked about extensions yet. For my part, I’m enjoying the life here in Düsseldorf, and I still have a lot of places to visit, so I’d prefer to stay here till the end of the year…
  • I’m traveling quite a lot lately; two weeks ago I spent the weekend in München (with Mauro and Luca), while last week I took two days off to drive through Belgium (visiting Bruxelles, Ghent and Brugge) to the North Sea.. Nice places indeed, especially if you are so lucky to find a sunny day!
  • Talking about software & co. in the last three months I worked with two other guys here in Düsseldorf  on an idea for a website/startup… I put a lot of hours and work in this idea, but unfortunately, while the code was growing quite well, things didn’t work as I expected in the team, so I finally decided to leave. Don’t worry anyway! I’m now back on track with a new, simpler, idea, and I hope to be able to publish something by the end of September
